Overview

Image-lookup.com is a free reverse image lookup tool. We take your privacy seriously: we do not require an account, we do not maintain a database of uploads, and we do not sell or share any personal information. This page explains exactly what happens when you use the tool.

What happens when you upload an image

1. Your image is sent from your browser to a third-party image host (Cloudinary) over HTTPS. This is the only way to give Google Lens a public URL for your image.
2. The third-party host returns a public image URL. We then open Google Lens in a new tab with that URL.
3. We do not keep a copy of your image, the URL, or the search results on our servers. Once the page is closed, the request is gone.
4. The image is automatically deleted from Cloudinary after 1 hour. A scheduled background job runs every minute to clean up anything past that age.

Information we collect

From you, directly: none. We don't ask for your name, email, or any account details.

Automatically: like most websites, our hosting provider may log standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. This is used for security and basic analytics (such as counting total visits) and is not tied to any image you upload.

Cookies: Image-lookup.com itself does not set cookies. Third-party services (Google AdSense, when enabled, and the image host) may set their own cookies when they load.

Third-party services

We rely on the following third-party services to operate the tool:

• Cloudinary — receives the image you upload so that Google Lens can fetch it. Cloudinary stores the image on their infrastructure according to their own privacy policy. We use an unsigned upload preset, which does not require an account or authentication.
• Google Lens — receives the image URL and returns matching images and related web results. Google's handling of the image is governed by their own privacy policy.
• Google AdSense (optional) — when enabled, Google serves ads on this site. AdSense may use cookies to deliver ads based on your prior visits to this or other sites.

Children's privacy

Image-lookup.com is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. If you believe a child has used the tool with personal data, please contact us so we can address it.

Your rights

Since we don't store personal information on our servers, there is nothing to delete on our side. The third-party image host (Cloudinary) automatically removes your image after 1 hour. If you want a specific image removed sooner, contact us with the image URL and we'll delete it manually.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the tool after a change means you accept the updated policy.
